How to send your knives:
\ Collection and drop-off can be arranged within Berlin area;
\ Mail-in: send your knife by mail. After inspection, I'll get in contact with the quotation;
\ Sharpening WHILE YOU WAIT* can also be scheduled.

All the work is performed by hand on the high quality Japanese whetstones.

No thinning is done, but an evaluation is made in order to ensure the knife will be cutting at its full potential after the sharpening.
Over time, knives get thicker behind the edge, making cutting harder (causing "wedging") — even if the primary edge is sharp. Thinning restores the original blade grind/geometry, improving performance and making slicing easier. It’s especially necessary for well-used high-performance knives.
